In this part a few ideas of leadership and a leader will be given. The necessity of a leader in the society will also discuss in a very easy way. What is the responsibility and what a parents have to do also going to be discuss.

1.1 Introduction to raising leaders from an early age

Strong leadership is very important for any organization, in any country. While making any decision or building any system or giving the direction of a nation, they have to perform different role. We can compare it with the zooming of a lens of a Camera. We can see the nearest view as well as the view from far. Same for leadership, it is necessary to see what is going to happen in future and present for a leader.

Parents always want to see a leader inside their children; they want to do something new, innovative and unique by them. Some of the parents want their kids to influence the world and people instead of influenced by it. As they grow old, parents want to see them to make a different, rather than to just make a living.

It is easy to wish anything, rather than to make it true. It is a big challenge for the parents to nurture the leader in their children.

We all hear about it that, "Leaders are born rather than made". But if parents give their 100%effort and try hard by following some rules they may become successful in their mission. The place and environment affects a child in a great deal.

Intelligence, imagination, emotional adjustment, authority, good health, self confidence and most of all honesty with courage are the qualities that are required to become a leader. These qualities are easy to spell but not so easy to teach anyone.

It is also necessary to make a good relationship with the children, to understand them and make them feel that they are not alone.

It is a process which is not a work of one day, it takes time. But trying hard and working regularly on that it may comes true one day.

1.2 Different perspective of leadership:

People view leadership in different way, their perspective is very different from each other. The way by which one people measure the success and the quality of others, this is the common perspective of the common people to define a leader. The more one people think about the others the more they can be a good leader. The way of observation, the style of thinking and set of belief also determine the quality of a leader.

Thus, Fairholm says, "defining leadership is an intensely personal activity limited by our personal paradigms or our mental state of being, our unique mind set". He explains that the way of thinking and the way of living influence the definition of leadership. People usually give the explanation of leadership by drawing on their own conceptions and themselves. They use their perspective as the base of their judgment. The perspective of leadership depends on people’s life, conflict, emotion and even frustration.

Some researcher said that leadership is totally related with the management. The fast and properly they can manage anything the better leader he or she is. It is actually true for any organization. One perfect decision can make one company and one wrong decision can destroy its future forever.

Distributing the responsibility and give them to the right person is a very tough and important decision for any occupation as well as for any country. Some people define leadership in this regard. Taking the right decision is necessary for every country, and mostly in a critical situation. People who work under that leader will listen to only him or her, so it should be perfect.

Visioning the future, present and fast is a very important perspective.

Values- displacement activity is the next one; this is the quality that can be checked by the relationship between the leader and the follower of them.

Some define it with courage and honesty, some with intelligence.

The success of an organization, any office or family, altogether the country is depends on a leader. So he or she should have the most powerful qualities that a human should have to be a leader.

Parents who want to make their children a leader in future have to choose a right perspective for them and should work on it.

1.3 Necessities for a good leadership:

Human has a nature to follow, from a very early age they use to follow their leaders. Leader of a country or an organization is like the father of a family.

Leaders are good models and they should be an expert in their field. They help a society to meet its goal and get a success. To become a leader people of that organization will try hard and improve them to compete. By doing this only they are not upgrading themselves, but increasing the quality of a Company as well as the whole country.

They are the person who communicates with everyone and explain the policies, and decide the plans. So it is really necessary for them to be capable in it, as a good plan and great policy can take them in a high position. They provides motivation and inspiration for others, they can push the team to achieve its destination.

One of the qualities of the leaders is to balance their personal life, by doing this they will give priority to their both life. They help to direct others in the personal and professional life.

Without a leader it will be impossible to continue any organization, or a country. They are the driver of it. If a bus has its passengers, fuel and everything, but don’t have any driver, then it will not go forward and will never reach to its destination.

Like this one leader is the man or woman who makes the Company or a Country run, and fulfill its destination.

Leaders are the responsible person to take a company in a high position and also make a high growth of talents. So they are truly needed for any organization or nation.

1.4 Plans to go forward

It is not easy to become a leader, it is a huge responsibility. Skilled leaders are talented people with the knowledge to compete others. It is very tough and the question of hard work, a lot of practice, instruction and listening to others feedback.

Those who want to nurture the leader in their child; they have to try very hard. It s not a matter of a day it’s a long term process, so have to make a plan for it.

It needs a long term plan, each and every day is very important. There are several way to follow.

Here are some steps:

Give roots

There are so many things to follow and to do. It should start before a child came to the earth, and work should start from a very first day, especially when they are in age 5-16. Early age is a very sensitive issue so, parents have to be very careful and be decisive before doing anything.

Part: 2

In this part the impact on the children by their family and parents will be discussed. It will help the parents to understand that how much they are important for their kids.

2.1 Know yourself:

Most of time human mind think by making pictures in their mind. So before doing anything to children, it is necessary to understand and know themselves first. What they want, what are their expectation and is there need and expectation right, or wrong.

If any parents want to teach anything to their children it is necessary that they already know it properly. Otherwise they can’t do it. If a Math teacher doesn’t know the solution, but still teaching his student. You can imagine what the condition of the students is then.

Before teach your children you have to remove the bad qualities you have. If you are telling them "do not tell a lie" and after some time when anyone call you and you said to your child that to tell him your father is not in the home. Then your child will never listen or learn what you are trying to teach.

Children will follow their parents from their early life so this is really necessary that the parents are conscious about what they are doing in front of their child. The emotional condition of the parents affects their child a lot.

Parents should not show if there is any confliction between them. It creates disturbance in their mind as well as their life.

Some of the parents force their child and pressure them to be like other child, if they are not doing a good result or they are not doing well in music parents and children will have to work together to sort it out. Your child is not necessarily being good in music or art, or they do not feel any interest in it. You are the one why have to find what is their interest and their talent, rather than t follow other parents.

So before taking any step, whether it is big or small, parents should think carefully about their responsibility, their thoughts and their demands.

It is necessary to know what they are trying to include in their children is it right or not, is their children want to do it or not. This is the first step for anyone to step forward.

2.2 Family environment and leadership:

"Sow a thought, and you reap an act; Sow an act, and you reap a habit; Sow a habit, and you reap a character; Sow a character, and you reap a destiny," this is a famous aphorism. Family environment affects on the personality, character, and quality of a kid.

It is necessary to keep a healthy environment for the proper growth of a child, both physically and mentally. It creates a moral leadership between the children, so leadership depends on the parents. In an unhealthy environment it is impossible to create a leader, because their parents fail to give them to teach morality properly. Lacking of morality and a good environment children lose their confidence. They never learn good behavior, and can’t be able to take a right decision. Or if parents themselves are morally flawed; children emulate parents’ character and value system. This can set a dangerous precedence for children and their future. 

It is possible to create a leader in one poor family, where there is good bonding and good care. But it is impossible to create one leader in a rich family without having a good relationship and healthy environment.

Children those face problem in their family are usually not confident in their personal life and they show rude behaviors with their friends. Some also take drugs or alcohol to forget about their family disturbance. This disturbed mind makes them dishonest and inspired them to do a crime.

Parents are the controller of their kid’s life; if they cannot keep a healthy situation in their family then they cannot expect their child to be a leader in future. As this kind of environment makes the kids tensed about everything. They always think about their parents and feel insecure about themselves. They can’t share it with their friends, as feel ashamed and naturally it makes them alone. Structure of a family creates a strong binding between the parents and children.

Family environment increase intellectuality of the children, it personalize their character, behavior and make them a great leader. If there is a positive relationship between the parents and the kids it helps them to think positive in every aspect of life.

When family provides a supporting and simulating environment it is easy to be a kid confident in their life.

Family environment plays a significant role in shaping the character and destiny of children. The discernable generational patterns can be instructive to parents. They need not stuck with the unhealthy family patterns or failure of previous generations; it is possible for them to break from them and to learn new ways of providing moral leadership to their children today.

2.3 Early childhood and future:

Psychologists always give an extra priority to the early childhood.

A child's experiences in the first months and years of life determine whether he or she will enter school eager to learn or not. By school age, family and caregivers have already prepared the child for success or failure. The community has already helped or hindered the family's capacity to nurture the child's development.

The effects of nutrition, mental condition and health care are built in their early childhood. At this time they learn how to behave and how to handle any problem. Honesty, courage, Character and knowledge are gained in this time.

This time they need proper direction and guideline to go forward and continue their life. A perfect training can make them capable to fight with the complex situation, different programs and activities help them to use their knowledge and learn new things. This increases their creativity and also increases their ability to go to top. Protection that is provided by the family helps them to feel secure, so that they can only concentrate in their study. The effects of health care, nutrition, and mental stimulation on children's mental and emotional growth-as reflected in their ability to manage anything. In the earliest age the development of intelligence, personality and social behavior are also completed.

From many research it has been proven that brain responses in the early age experience at a highest rate. In fact, that half of all intellectual development potential is established in the age 5-10.

By increasing the opportunity to learn more and more in early child education parents should be very careful. It can also enable participants to earn more and can raise their productivity in the workforce.

Modification can be done by including integrated programs for young children that will affect the socioeconomic condition of the society.

Early childhood is the perfect learning time, at this age they are really don’t know what to take and what to avoid, what is right and is wrong, what to do and what not to do. So parents can take this advantage and teach them the correct things by providing a correct way and make the leaders for future.

2.4 Family rules and regulation and Punishment:

Without following rules and regulation a children will not shine in their life. There should be some rules to follow for all the family members, also for the children. Like everyone should wake up early in the morning and do some exercise.

There should be specific time to take the breakfast, lunch and dinner. Family members should take their food in the same time. This rule is very effective for any family. This gives time to talk with the kids about their daily life and also create a consciousness about time. They should maintain the rules of the family by showing respect on it. Otherwise their children are not going to follow it.

Family is the place where leaders are created, so parents should apply regulations to create a social life in a family. As in any society rules are very important, so it will help them to be a social leader if they can follow the rules in a proper way.

Parents should become the caregivers, but they should also be strict when children are not following the family rules. Children are very curious about any new things, and they can see many new things in school. They are very much influenced with their friends and try to experience their habits that might be wrong. In this case parents should concern them if they cross the limit in any way. After that if they again do the same thing then it is time to punish them.

They should know that what the parents are saying to them they are actually meaning it, otherwise they are not going to obey them. In this regard parents should be very careful and must concern about what they are threatening those are realistic. As by giving unrealistic threats they are losing the faith, as their child know that their parents will not do it to them. Huge punishments may take away your power as a parent.

They should feel motivated by the parents and willingly follow the rules and regulation. With the growing age kids are always want more independency and responsibility. So parents should give them this kind of chance in the family. If they can prove them in the family responsibility, they can prove them in the society as well.

Discipline can create a routine in the kid’s life which helps them in their future life. What they learn from their early age is become their habit. So it is really necessary to maintain regularity in their life from a very early age.

Part: 3

It is necessary for the parents to know what their responsibility to make their child a leader is. So in this part it is going to describe.

3.1 Parent’s responsibility:

Parents have a huge responsibility to make a bright future of their children. If they want to nurture leadership in their child their responsibly will be doubled then.

Parents are the mentor of their children so they have to make a way to translate good thoughts in a general way. So that Children will not take them as a rule, they take them naturally.

Parents have to become an attentive student before they can teach their child. They have to learn about their children’s thought and feelings. They have to be modern and be updated with the change of time as well as generation.

If anyone is trying to teach their child the things that he learnt from his parents, in the same way, that is not going to work. They have to change the way, as the world is changing very quickly. With the growing of the kids their world is also changing very rapidly. With cope up with this change, parents have to show their creativity and find different types of way to communicate and teach.

Parents should judge their child by trusting them and they have to make them belief that they are in the same team, not opposition.

The great majority of parents have positive and nurturing relationships with their children and they always try to maintain them. With maintaining them it is also necessary to make sure that the parents are not harsh to them. Share ideas and talk about things that really matter with their children, and parents’ acquaintance with their children’s friends.

Children’s intentions should be encouraged by their parents; it is a basic tenet of active leaning. Parents can easily ask them and give courage to them for a bright future.

3.2 Open communication:

Parents should communicate with their children regularly. They have to choose the way to communication. They can make sometime fun with them, asking about their study, if they need any help in their study or not.

This day to day communication will help to make a strong bridge between the parents and the children.

If anything awkward or unusual happens around them they can discuss that why it happens and how.

It is very important for the parents to know what is going on their children’s life. Especially when they are in age 10-16, they do not want to share their life with their parents. They make their own life and friends and like to live with them. So it is very important for a parent to make sure that they are the best friends of their children.

Parents who communicate with their children effectively, their children know their expectations. So they try to fulfill them, because their bonding is good with their parents. Children learn best when they reflect on their action. If they feel them important in their family where their comments are having value, they will co operate from their own will.

Children learn best when parents encouraged them and speak to them. Encouraging children to speak strengthens their emerging ability to reason. Confidents can be created in them; by make them solve their own problem.

In open communication it will really helpful for the parents to have the opportunity to know their problem and to solve them. In this way they will know their problems as well as make them confident. Without guarding them for a long time they can know what is going on outside. This kind of communication makes the children to believe that they are not alone, and if there is any problem they can find their parents with them.

When they are up to 10years old, there will be a tendency of them to avoid their parents. They want to hide many things from them. If they have a friendly relation with their parents then, this kind of problem are not going to happen.

Parents can also help by referring children to other children for ideas, assistance, and conversation. Children should be encouraged to ask questions and to try to answer their questions themselves.

Open and effective communication is very important for parents with their children; it is not only useful for the parents and children but also family members. In fact if the communication between the parents and the children is good then their relationship will be great.

If they learn the communication should be open it will help them in their future life also. In their school, they will not feel hesitation to communicate with others. It will help them to deal with any tough situation.

Communication means to speak and listen, so parents should listen to their child, not only just order them. If they give priority to their decisions they will feel secure about their position and will be more co operative.

3.3 Respect and dignity:

Every human have the right to live a respectful and dignified life. And a child is not out of this boundary. It is very unfamiliar in much family to show respect to their child, and uncommon for the kids to have a dignified life.

Instead of ordering them it is better for the parents to ask them. Instead of saying "Do not run", they can say "please walk".

By doing this kind of simple thing children feel them more important member in their family. If they know and understand the needs of respect and the importance of dignity in human life, they will show it to others.

Some parents never even think to show respect to their kids, where showing honor to them increase the capacity to know themselves. It will develop their moral values and introduce them with democracy.

"Young children require nurturance, care, guidance and protection, in ways that are respectful of their individuality and growing capacities" (UNICEF et al. 2006: 37). If the parents are able to create a respectful environment where everyone have their respect and live in pride then, their life will be very smooth and clear. As if a person knows that his or her respect and dignity is their main wealth then they will never want to lose it, in any chance.

Respect and Dignity can make anyone feel that they have different soul. They can walk straight and confident. They never feel shame to say the right word and do the right things. So it is a very important issue.

Your children is not your pet, they has their own life, own soul. So if they don’t get enough respect from their family they will fell themselves helpless and can feel alone.

It is not easy for the parents to show respect to their child all the time, but they have to try a lot from their heart if they want to see a future leader in their child.

3.4 Team and Individual

Strong families can be creating by committing each other. They work like a team, and have a sense of being a team. Parents are the coach in this team and children are the players.

In any problem of the family, if all members work together, and solve it. Then whether the problem is solved or not the team shares its joy or sorrow together. This creates some great qualities in the children. They learn to obey the orders of the coach, follow the rules, planning together and even working process.

Parents should appreciate their kids whatever the result is, because of their work and effort. They should take them in their every possible plan and give them a separate role. This makes them feel important and help them to learn. It increases the ability of a child to work in a critical situation.

By following this way parents can build the ability to see any problem in a positive way. It increases their flexibility in communication strengths and to help others. It makes them learn about Obedience, Tolerance, Diligence, Loyalty, Availability and Love for each other.

They start to learn about planning, complexity, implementation and evaluation. This builds trust with each other, when the members of a family start to work together. Each family member has to trust the others to accomplish their individual tasks in order to contribute to the goal of the group.

If the work can be possible to be done by one person, but still it is necessary to make that with the whole family. It teaches the kids that working together can reduce the chances of pressure in one person.

Members can have more time to spend with each other by working together. Growing kids like to spend their maximum time in front of the computer and don’t want to come out from their room. So team work can create excitement in them and they can become much closer to each other. Working a team makes them to work together, in their whole life. And that is a big quality for any leader.

3.5 Encouraging in different activities:

Only study cannot make a child a leader. Parents have to promote their kids talent in front of the world. They have the capabilities to learn a lot in their early age which may not be possible in future.

It is necessary to find their interest. Parents can encourage them in singing, dancing, drawing, debating and so on. But whatever it is, they should like to do it.

If they like to have a pet and want to keep them parents should encourage them. As this help them to learn to take good care.

Skill based various activities can make the kids confident. It helps them to use their ideas, and show their creativity. There are a variety of ways in which the parents can identify their children’s interests and passions right away from an early stage. This helps the children to walk in the right direction and keep moving towards them.

There are many working parents who have to be outside from their home for a long time every day. So if their child is busy to learn new skills that can make them busy. It will increase their quality and they will not feel lonely. These children stand a better chance at developing strong interpersonal skills and will also become more confident than other children who are often times confined to the boundaries of their own home.

Mind refreshment is also necessary for the children. They should not get bored from their life. So if they get the chances to do different kinds of work then they will have a fresh mind and can apply their talent in their personal life.

Different kind of creative activities like Glass painting, Sewing, Cooking, and Aerobics all are some famous activity in today’s world, there are also a lots of them outside. Children can also join different clubs, like cricket, boxing singing, and art. Those can help them to have a good health and a fresh mind.

Part: 4

In this part the responsibility and duty of parents are going to demonstrate. Parents are reasonable to build a leader, so they should know everything about their responsibility very clearly.

4.1 Behavior, Character and success depends on parents:

Children should learn how to behave with the Elders and Younger’s and only parents can help them in this regard. They should behave well their kids and the other younger’s in the family with love. And they should give proper respect to their parents or other elder person in their home. That will create a home where the kids will learn their behavior automatically.

Character enables a leader to understand that what is right and what is wrong. They can take the decisions with their honesty, whatever the situation is. If a child become a strategic thinker and a charismatic influence but fails to develop character, he eventually will sabotage his leadership. Parents should work with their child to build character in their life. They have to focus on their personal discipline, security, identity, values and ethics.

If a leader doesn’t have a good character, then his leadership will come to an end. How a leader behave in the organization that is a critical thing.

Leaders should have to understand that what the workers nature is. That means leaders should have the observation power also.

For a child it is very difficult to understand that what is right and what is wrong behavior. Parents are the model behavior for a child. Children watch their parents, how they behave and imitate them from very early age. The way parents behave to their kids, they continue it with their younger’s. If parents being rude everyday in the house then the child will think that this behavior are acceptable. So they pick it up and include in them.

4.2 Protecting from others

Children are born as loving and empathetic creature in the world. But in many societies they are tortured mentally or physically, that create a bad effect on their mentality.

It is already proved from many research that, children who faced difficult situation in their early age; they could never be a leader. They always feel them insecure. It creates lack confidence and fear in their mind. So they never feel happy at any reason.

They feel scared from the outside world, and in sometime their reaction are horrible. As they know from a very early time in their life about the bad side of the environment and the people, they accept that in their character. That makes them to crime and encourages them to take the wrong path.

In this case, it is only and only the parents responsibility to protect them from the outside world. As a child they don’t understand who is a good person and who is bad. Parents should be aware about whom their kids are talking to or spending their time.

If the relation between the parents and kids are free and frank, then they can share anything with each other. They can share if anything unwanted happened to them. And parents can make a solution. But if the relationship is not friendly than, kids will never share their feelings and are going to suffer.

Parents have to make sure that their children are not facing any awkward situation in the family; it will reduce their belief from the relationship. That will affect them psychologically in their whole life. Sometimes they can’t even forget that from their mind.

After the God, parents are the protector of their child. So they have to make sure that their kids are safe with them.

4.3 Create confidence

Self observation, it creates one’s awareness about what to act and why to act. That makes one confident about their work and responsibility.

One leader should know that, what is he doing and why. If he is not sure about his act, then nobody is going to obey him or respect him. It is known for any successful leader is necessary to be confident and careful.

To create confidence in the children parents can follow the following process:

They have to make them self dependent, in the household chores they can give them small work, and encourage them for whatever they done this is going to increase their confidence.

Let them talk, when there is anything discussed. By this they will learn to talk confidently outside.

Considering their decision, when there is anything important is going on in the family. Like- if there is any festival to celebrate then their decision can be concerned with importance about the decoration.

Making them self aware, it gives them the power to know what they can do and what are their capabilities.

Appreciating them in their success.

These simple steps can make them confident and proud. Then they can take part in this competitive world.

4.4 Listen and understand:

Parents should be a very good listener; they should know that they will only earn the right to talk when they will listen to others. As the children are constantly developing physically and mentally, their development are depends on their parent’s behavior with them.

It’s not necessary for the kids that they are always wrong, listening to them and also understands them are very important to know their mind.

Kids have a tendency to be independent, so listening to them is very necessary to feel them they are free and valuable.

In some family nobody listen to the children and tell them they are not as much experienced as their parents. So they should not say anything. Children from this kind of family often feel lonely, dependent and never take a good decision.

So listening and understanding is very important to make a better family and make a better care for a child.

4.5 Be a friend, not a teacher:

Parents have to make sure about one thing that they should become the closest person to their children. They should be their friend. They have to teach them many things, but they should use the friendly way. Their goal is not to control their children, but to make a connection with their life. They have to provide all tools they need to improve their potentiality, have to pay attention to understand their point of view.

It is really very necessary to make sure that they feel safe to share anything with their parents and want to be transparent with them willingly. How much they feel their parents understand them; and how much they seem to understand their Mom and Dad when they share anything. Parents have to make sure that children are comfortable to talk with them, and they are giving importance in their decision.

Parents should be a friend of their child. It is really easy to teach anything as a friend, but if they behave like teacher children will fell no interest in them.

Part: 5

This chapter is about the skills and qualities that child has to have in their life and to become a future leader.

5.1 Understanding Etiquette & Manners:

To nurture in the family etiquette and manners are really important quality. It is starting from the family, here the manners seeds are planted and nurtured for the future. This is the best thing that children should learn from their parents in their early age.

All social etiquette that they should carry in their whole life should teach by the parents. Children are like sponges they have the tendency to soak up everything from their surroundings. So the best way to teach them anything is doing that in front of them.

There are some common manners that a child must know from his beginning journey, like

Show kindness and respect to everyone, making fun of others are bad, no matter how strange they look.

Saying sorry, if they bump into someone or accidently step on someone’s toe.

Please and Thank you are two words that they should learn.

They should not walk in bunches so that they block others.

Interruption in the time of talking is a very bad manner

Before teaching these rules to their kids it is really necessary for the parents to follow them first in their own life.

Different cultures have different manners, but there are some common manners all over the world. Parents should teach the common manners first, as they are most important. Then the cultural manners, they are also very important to know for the kids.

5.2 Communication Skills:

It is necessary to teach children how to communicate politely and effectively, in fact this is one of the most important tasks for the parents.
