Effective advertising is, almost always, persuasive advertising, and while not all advertising seeks to persuade, in a competing situation those which persuade better are those most probably to gain. Advertising, it has been conjectured in previous literature, consumer preferences for forms in multiple ways. So how advertisements can be persuasive ? Persuasive advertising is a component in a comprehensive advertising strategy that seeks to attract consumers to purchase specific goods or services, often by appealing to their emotions and sensitivities. Advertising may influence consumers in many different ways , first the ability to capture attention , second the ability to get the name across to the consumer’s mind , and the last one is how to lead to the consumer’s action.

The increase in the sales of a product is usually allotted to the consumers becoming informed about the existence of the product. Advertising can accelerate this process of conscience of the consumer. For a consumer chooses a brand, two conditions must be satisfied:

Firstly, the brand should be in its regulated choice. Secondly, the brand should be preferred above all other brands as a whole of choice. Advertising may facilitate one or both of these conditions.

To separate the impact on the choice; placed on preferences, the measurements; a real utility of the analysts on the level of the information had by consumers about many brands and their perceptions of quality. They compiled a panel dataset that combines advertising expenditures of brand-level annual data with a consumer survey on a large scale in which respondents were asked whether they were aware of different brands and, if so, to evaluate them in terms of quality.
