This report is showing us about a Mobile Commerce (M-Commerce). This repot contain by 4 parts they are Introduction, Short history of Mobile Commerce, Real world applications about Mobile Commerce, and the last is Future trends relating to the M-Commerce.

M-Commerce is system of electronic commerce, as we know as an E-Commerce using portable devices or mobile such as mobile phones, smart phones, PDAs, notebooks, and more by using credit card, nets, debit card, Etc. Computer users can make buying and selling products on the Internet by using a system of m-commerce. M-commerce is make computer users easily to finding and selling an items or services. M-Commerce now a day is very booming because number of selling of mobile phone, smart phone, tablet, etc. are increasing and will more increase in next few year, because of that many

Companies use M-Commerce to sale their items or services and we now can easily to making a purchasing because with M-Commerce we can use it anywhere and anytime. M-Commerce, now we can easily find it at App Store for IPhone and IPad users, Google play for android users, etc.

Now a day many companies are invest their money to M-Commerce because they are know in the future M-Commerce will make more profit for their company. Because in the future many people will use it M-Commerce to purchasing or selling an items or services.

History of Mobile Commerce

Mobile Commerce or M-Commerce was first delivered at Helsinki area on Finland in 1997. It was use for Coca-Cola fending machine. The fending machine accepted payment by using via SMS text messages. The first Mobile Banking or M-Banking was launched in 1997 also in Finland by using SMS text messages. In 1998, the first digitals content by download were made also in Finland.

Since 2000, Norwegians can but the parking tickets by using their mobile phone, since 1999 Australian can but their Train tickets from their phone. Japanese can buy flight ticket by using phone since 1999. So at the end of 20th century until now peoples around the world already use M-Commerce for their purchasing and selling an items or services.

M-Commerce is booming since smartphone are booming. Because we can easily using M-Commerce. If in 1997 Finland peoples using M-Commerce with SMS now a day we can use M-Commerce with Internet Service by using mobile phone. We just download M-Commerce on App Store in our mobile phone and use it by using Internet service.

In 2008, 9 million US mobile subscribers claimed to have used the mobile web to pay for products or services. M-Commerce users are usually with an age between 18 and 32. Just in Christmas Day 2011 number of M-Commerce users increased by 173%, this number will increasing in the next few year.

Real World Application About Mobile Commerce

There is many application can we download right know at our mobile phone, smart phone, etc. easily, but in this report I will explain more about Mobile Banking, Mobile ticketing and the last Mobile Contain and Purchase Delivery.

Mobile Banking (M-Banking)

Mobile banking, as we know as M-Banking is Online Banking performing at smart phone or other mobile phone device. We can use it anywhere because it from our mobile phone, so we can bring it anywhere easily. We can use M-Banking to check our account balance at bank, pay bill payments, transfer between accounts, check ATM locations, blocking our card if we lost it, and many more. Most people doesn’t like use M-Banking, because they think it is not safety, they afraid their account at mobile banking can hijacked by hackers and their afraid if they make transaction by mobile banking, the transaction doesn’t delivered. But now a day we don’t need to afraid with that. Mobile Banking now is very safe to use.

M-BCA or BCA mobile is one of the examples of M-Banking. BCA or Bank Central Asia is one of the biggest banks in Indonesia. BCA mobile is the first mobile banking in Indonesia, they made this application to keep consumers happy. Because with mobile BCA consumers do not need to queue at ATM machine, because with this application consumers can make their transaction at their mobile phone with Mobile Banking anytime and anywhere.

Mobile Ticketing (M-Ticketing)

Mobile ticketing is processes when consumers want to buy tickets anywhere from their mobile phone or smart phone. Tickets can be a movie ticket, bus ticket, train ticket, flight ticket, concert ticket, and many more. Mobile ticket is make simply to consumers to buy ticket, because they don’t need to queue at ticket counter to buy it, they just need but a ticket using their mobile phone or smart phone with Credit Card anywhere and anytime. We can find Mobile Ticketing at our smart phone easily because we just need go to our application store at our mobile phone.

ICathay is one of the examples of mobile ticketing. ICathay is a program for buying movie ticket at Cathay Cineplex. Cathay Cineplex is one of the Cineplex companies in Singapore. They made this application to make their consumers don’t need to queue at their tickets counters. The consumers just need but their tickets at their Smartphone and don’t need queue at tickets counter. Consumers just need show they need show proof of payment to the counter without wasting time in long queue especially at weekend. But they charge 1SGD every purchase from Internet and mobile.

Mobile Contain and Purchased Delivery

Mobile Contain and Purchased Delivery is consists of selling games, wallpapers, movies, songs and ringtones for mobile phones. This application we easily find it at application store for IPhone users and Google play for android users. There is a lot of this application on that 2 application store because and now a day many company made mobile contain and purchased delivery and sell it at the application store, some of the application are free and some of it are not free.

Angry Birds was created by Finnish Computer Game developed Rovio Entertainment. Angry Bird was first released for Apple iOS in December 2009. We can download it for free this application but it is not full version. The full version contain we must pay $0,99. This game sold more than 1 billion copies around the world and it became the largest mobile application success the world has seen so far and one of the runaway hits of 2010. Now days Angry Bird can be download on Android, Symbian, Windows Phone and also on PC. Now angry birds so have many versions such as Angry Birds seasons, Angry Bird Rio, Angry Bird Space, and the last Angry Birds Star wars. All of that version can be download at our smartphone application.

Future Trends Relating To The Mobile Commerce

Future trends are predictions what will happen to the topic in the next few years. There are several prediction In the future about Mobile Commerce

Security

For the security, Mobile Commerce will be more secured because now a days not all peoples trust M-Commerce to do an transaction, because they are afraid it’s not secured. Because in some case the transaction can be hijack by hackers, so the Mobile Commerce companies will more focus to the security to M-commerce.

More Users

This prediction of "More Users" will be success if security is succeeded. Because if the mobile commerce is secured, many users will not afraid using Mobile Commerce. If every people not afraid to using m commerce, M-Commerce users will be increase because it is more practice and efficient.

High Speed Connection (Network Connection)

In the future the connection will be faster than now. Maybe we will not need to loading if we buy something in our mobile phone like present. In the past we had 2G or 3G connection, but now we have 4G connections, maybe at the future we will have 5G or 6G connection. It can be happened because now the connection is going to faster and faster.

More Practical

Now a day not everyone can use M-Commerce usually for Old Generation. Because they think it is more complicated than traditional way, they more like shopping at the mall than online shopping. It will make the M-Commerce companies to make people can use it with more practical than now. They will make the application more easy to use and easy to make any purchases. If they succeeded, it will make more profit for the companies and more efficient for the consumers.

Conclusion

Mobile Commerce will be more have users than now in the future, and in the next few years mobile commerce will be more application than now. And a lot of companies will be invest their money in the mobile commerce, because it will make their company have a lot of profit. Also Mobile commerce it help to reduce the global warming, because they don’t need to print out the tickets (for M-Ticketing) and others things. Mobile commerce is really helpful to businessman, because businessman or woman don’t have time for shopping. But with m commerce they can shop anywhere and anytime using their Mobile phone.
