Now imagine again all the negative consequences of you avoiding to perform the action that will make achieving your goal possible. What do you feel? What negative consequences do you see? Imagine as if you are experiencing these consequences of deterioting health and happiness right now. Now go even further and see yourself one year from the present living the same life if not more worse. Think about all the time you wasted procrastinating one day at a time, which you could have used to progress towards your goal.

Now come back to the present. Relax and take deep breaths. Now imagine walking along the second road. Imagine yourself one month from now after completing the present task. What do you see? How did your life improve for the better? Take in all the positive consequences of your action and imagine yourself as already experiencing them. With this new positive feeling, walk further down the road and imagine yourself six months from now. What improvements do you see in your health, love and social life? How good does it feel? Let this positive feeling seep into you and imbue with motivation. Finally, imagine yourself one year from now. Where are you? What are you doing? Imagine being happy, successful and excited because you took the action in the present.

Now come back to the present and relax. While practicing the above exercise, depending on your goal, adjust the time frame longer or shorter. When you take this exercise seriously and get into the spirit of it, you can really benefit from it because you can immediately feel motivated to perform the necessary task with a new found vigor. You can even enjoy the mundane of tasks by visualizing the positive benefits the completion of task directly or indirectly will bring you.

Practice this exercise consistently as often as you like. In fact, develop a habit of visualization. Visualize the achievement of all your goals and desires.
