Biggest Cause Of Global Climate Change

Every country around the world is concerning about the climate change that has become the hot issue in today problem. Global climate change recently is the theme for many conventions of all countries on earth. People believe that the global climate change has two main causes. They are natural activities and human activities, but the biggest cause of global climate change is human activity. (The Cause of Global Climate Change, 2006). What kinds of man activities do cause the climate change? Four man activities that play the biggest role in changing the climate are Industrial activities, Emission of greenhouse gases, Deforestation and Pollution.

In today situation, every county thinks of many possible ways to develop their countries. With the advance technologies, many developed and developing countries try to use industrial activities as a main sector to support their economy and to develop their countries. There are four types of industries which are primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary industry. (http://www.geography.learnontheinternet.co.uk/topics/industrytheory.html). Among the four types of these industries, the primary which involve getting raw material and the secondary which involve manufacturing are very the main core to cause the global climate change. Primary industry activities are so dangerous to the environment because is lead the change in the environment. Mining the raw material can lead to Earth quake and Tsunami. While secondary industry activities produce a big problem to environment. The wastes from the industry pollute the environment in all form.

Secondly, the emission of greenhouse gases provokes a serious problem to the environment. Greenhouse gases come from the burning of fossil fuel, which has become a very essential and necessary for all human activities. Fossil fuel is a substance needed to perform or run all kind of machines. Man might find it hard to live without those machines in their daily lives. However, the gases from burning this fuel are so dangerous to the environment. Greenhouse gas is the most important seriously effect to atmosphere which was widespread to environment that causes global climate change. It was used by human such as fume from vehicles, air-conditioner, or heavy factories to the ozone. There are four principles chemically substantial that come out of greenhouse gas such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O). First, when we use fossil fuel in order to generate machine in transportations, manufactures, and electricity, those will develop as a smoke which is increasing carbon dioxide to atmosphere. Moreover, carbon dioxide also release from deforestation or burning plants that we have mentioned above. Second, methane increases as the result of human activities that related to agriculture, natural gas distribution, home and business waste and so on. Methane concentrations are not growth up currently, it will contains a decade that we can see their affection. Third, nitrous oxide occurs when we use fertilizer and fossil fuel burning. Natural processes in soils and oceans also release N2O such as we add nitrogen to the soil with fertilizers. (Solomon et al., 2007).

Thirdly, deforestation is continuing participate in our global climate change. Forest is the pure source to clean the air and provide the oxygen for people on earth. While man create more toxic to the atmosphere, they are still cutting down those forest that is the source to help clean the atmosphere. That are the reason the climate nowadays has changing significantly. The reasons for deforestation are an agriculture and urban growth, land-use change, and construction road in order to fulfill their needs and improve living condition in a modern world. For example, when people who find more land for making their cultivation become better by burning and cutting down tree which located in the area, so ecosystems in that place are reduced and vegetation is burned or removed, the carbon that stored in them would be released to the atmosphere as carbon dioxide. Day by day, carbon dioxide was spread out too much in the atmosphere that causes global climate change by human activities indirectly. (Climate change infomation resources, 2004). Thus, deforestation was cutting down for making equipment such table, chair, timber, and so on. When deforestation was destroyed, there is not one that can absorb the water of the rain which created flood.

Last but not lease, pollution stands as an indirect factor in the changing of the climate. Man activities make all kind of pollution to the environment - air pollution, water pollution and land pollution. The impacts from these pollutions seem to be a long term impact; however, they also produce a big problem to the environment. For air pollution, the emissions of toxic gases transform to be a greenhouse gases. They absorb the heat from the sun and keep the temperature in the surface of our planet increasing. For water pollution, it contaminates the water and the environment surrounding that cause the cycle of the climate. For land pollution, the soil has transform to be infertile, so the forest and the plant cannot survive more on that plot of land, and the environment at that place will change.

To sum up, our environment is facing a big problem as a result in global climate change. We know the main reason that causes this issue. They are industrial activities, greenhouse gases, deforestation and pollution. If we still ignore this problem, we surely cannot reassure with this problem. We need an urgent action to deal with the situation nowadays.
