Firstly, I would like to thank my family who advise and support me to attend (L5DC) course. And I really thank to all of my teachers from IBCT (Mandalay), especially U Soe Htet Naing for his supervisions. Finally, I want to thank Thant Zin Aung for helping and being patience during my assignment period.

Task1.

Business Sponsor

Business sponsor means a person or other organization that pays part or all of the operating cost. And business sponsor is a person who introduces and supports a proposal for legislation. And he can ask many question related with business benefits.

Brenda Jones is the budget holder of this project in SSM Chutney and she has job experiences by being budget holder for several other projects. And she can stand by to get involved with the project because of her ability to see business benefits. Therefore, Brenda Jones should be business sponsor.

Business Visionary

Business visionary refers to a person who has the ability to predict massive profits or how something will increase in business field in the future or advancements. And it’s the person who has the good understanding of business objectives and has the ability of flexible communication.

Julie Foster is a general all-rounder. And she has worked for SSM Chutney for many years. That’s means she has enough experiences about business. Therefore, Julie could be the business visionary.

Business Ambassador

Business Ambassador means a person who helps to develop communication and engagement between the business communities. And Ambassador has the talent to supply the essential key for design decision. And he can share ideas and knowledge in business area.

Jonathan Peters has worked with Brenda Jones on several other projects. So, he has enough experience, good socially skills and can communicate between business communities and can make decisions for designs if is required. That’s why I think Jonathan Peters is a business ambassador.

Business Advisor

Business advisor provides information to business owners that will help them to run their business more effectively. Business advisors have business experiences that they can apply to solving problems and helping businesses expand and grow. If there is a specific area of concern, the business advisor can focus on that. And advisor has the practical knowledge of the business region.

Elizabeth Reede, problem solver is responsible for the day to day running of the business and she has a good grasp of the finer details related to sales, marketing, delivers and discounting etc. That’s why she has experiences about economical circumstances and demands of the today’s market. Therefore, Elizabeth Reede might be business advisor.

Dear Director,

I received your email and I’m happy for giving me a chance to help you. Here are the tips how to write user stories better and if you like these, I’ll come to your company to run a 2 day training course on how to write user stories.

Overview of user stories

User story mean business language of the end user that need to be done as part of job function. And it is limited in detail written on a small paper. User story is derived from XP (Extreme Programming). A user story shouldn’t be written with technical language and should be written in business language. So it is understandable to all. A user story should focus on who, what and why of a feature, not how.

User stories are used with Agile methodologies to define the functions which business system must provide.

An ID: Firstly, user stories must have identifier numbers. These numbers help your user story to differentiate from other user stories. And it must be unique identifier.

Topic: It is the name of the user story. It is the requirement or solution that needs to perform. And it could be functional requirement. And it shouldn’t be overlapped other requirements.

As a: This is the user who need or request this requirement. It can write the name of the user who request. But sometimes, it is the role of the user.

I want to: This means action that we want to take to improve. And this is the tasks we should do and we must do to get desired improvements.

So that: Means the benefits or profits by doing requirements. And it is also the destination that we hope to get.

The Value: Value is the advantages of that user story to organization or your company. That means how beneficial this user story is.

Author: This is clearly and simple. This means the writer of that user story.

When we start to write great user story, we should think about these tips and factors. At least, we must have topic, as a, I want to and so that tips in our user story. Let’s take a look at user story sample here.

Conclusion

I’ve presented about the SSM Chutney Limited. In Task 1, I’ve suggested and justified the roles of business sponsor, business visionary, business ambassador and business advisor. And in Task 2, I explained an overview of user story. And I wrote seven user stories about the requirements of the SSM Chutney Limited. Finally, I made the project approach questionnaire and created prioritized requirements list of the stock control system.
