Synopsis

This internship report is a part of my degree program Bachelor Of Business Administration. This report include how the PTCL manage their human capital the report have Introduction and company back ground of the organization. In this report I also share my experience working as an internee in the Pakistan Telecom company. This report also includes industry analysis and the different sector involve in it. here I also mention the SWOT analysis on both at industry level and also on company level. Here the report also include profile include both industry and company level and how the human resource management function id performed at the end I identify the some issues regarding the company and give some recommendation and finally make the conclusion.

Introduction

In the time of beginning post and Telegraph department in 1947.Pakistan telephone and telegraph department establish in 1962.company loay a major role in the telecom sector of Pakistan. PTCL is the important organization of the Pakistan which contributes a lot in the Pakistan Economy. This organization is also a largest telecommunication service provider in the country .the company strength of employees and worker is 30,000 and having 8 million customers. Company also have a leading position in the telecom sector and infrastructure provider to the other companies which operate in telecom sector geographically division of the company is based on Head Quarters, North, south, central and western zones.

In today’s world technology rapidly change in telecom sector. PTCL also focus on new Invention or Technology in telecom sector such as fastest internet with Evo wireless Broadband. In the year of 1991 govt announce thethe Privitazition of PTCl Pakistan and wanted tho encourage the private sector participaton.Pakistan telecommunication ordinance formed in 1995 accorgind to this Ptcl is a basic telephone company in the country and aloso in this year Pakistan telecom company formed a list on stock exchange of Pakistan In the year of 2001 ptcl launch its mobile and data services subsdraies with the name of Pak Net and ufone.

In the year of april 2006 Etisalat company to take this managerial control and buy 26% satke of the company Etisalat basically is a Dubai base company.Ptcl worker do not want ot privatize the company so that Protest and strike held by the workers but the issue is resolve after some time because Govt has increased the 30% salary of each worker

National Long-haul Core Network:

Fiber optic is cover all over the country having 10,400 km and it connect the 840 cities and town of the cities with 270 band width and it also is a backbone of the network.

We provide basic Infrastructure services to the cellular we provide the basic services to the cellular. Have local loop operators We provide all carrier services, 3200 exchange in all over the country that connect your carriers networks where the issues is resolved domestically,

In addition to provide connectivity to operators in rural areas of the country, PTCL launched its state of the art satellite service (PTCL satellite service (Sky link) is provide effective communications

White Label Services:

Company white label service are base on speed at minimum cost and offer to customer of network such as DSL to customer nationally and give them effective support services.

PTCL Landline

This is the basic and primary choice of the customer. Customers using these services from the Decades and this are the first choice of customer for making Calls Company also give many attractive packages to the customers company recently launches the economy package for the land line customers.

EVO Wireless Broadband

Evo wireless broadband is using for fastest internet to their customer through this people stay connected by offering true mobility through seamless connectivity all over the Pakistan .evo coverage is 250 cities across the Pakistan data rates is 153.6kbps at more than thousand destination in the country

Pakistan Broadband is one of the largest and the fastest growing Broadband service in Pakistan.  In 4 years it launch, PTCL has acquired close to 1 Million Broadband customers in over  1000 cities and towns all over the Pakistan company also offers to the valuable and affordable package to the customers

Smart TV services

PTCL SMART TV Using advanced Broadband network, PTCL entered the media sector on 14th August 2008, by launching a digital interactive television service for the first time in Pakistan. In today no other company in private sector provide this facility to the customers

Trough this you can record your favorite programs and watch at any time this facility is used when the person is busy and do not want to lose some program so that they can use this facility
