Introduction

As our company is multinational, we have to supply office equipment to small businesses company in different nations throughout the world. Since there is a technical problem within the company is sales team are making sales pitch using printed product i.e. Boucher with costumer, we have to change the communication system by handing out some portable computing device for sales team within the company.

Although the head office of our company is in Dubai and other regional office are in Hanoi (Vietnam), Jakarta (Indonesia), Doha (Qatar) and Montreal (Canada). Now we have to introduce other new portable device available in the present scenario within our company for which we are being provided £10,000 by our senior management team.

Plan

As the main problem of our company is sales team is facing problem during making sales pitch due to printed product brochures. So, we are planning to give first priority for portable device for sales team as per available in market which will look more impressive to prospective customer in market. So, our plan is to introduce device such as notebook and make a good communication with customer.

Since we are provided with £10,000 in order to buy different portable device available in present scenario. Different note book, smart phones, ipad etc. can be used as portable device.

Description of solving process

Problem solving process can be categorized into different steps. Those steps are mentioned below.

Problem definition

A problem can be defined as a situation experienced by an agent as different from the situation which the agent would like to be in. it is solved by a sequence of actions that reduce the different between the initial situation and the goal.

The main problem of our company is sales team is facing problem during making sales pitch due to printed product brochures only. Although the different latest means of communication are available in present scenario our communication is limited to printed product brochures. So we are introducing a new device for communication with in our sales team of our company. By using different criteria we can choose one of the best option & updates for our sales team.

Criteria are one of the most fundamental elements of making a high quality decision.  Criteria are the way that you define success for a specific decision.

As every problem has its own solution. The problem of our company also has its own solution. Some of the best solution with their own success criteria such as charge, sanctuary, accessibility, performance and scalability are mentioned below.

Charge

As we have given limited amount £10,000 only. We have to make all our problems solve by this limited amount. It is lone of the major factor that affects. So we have to choose the latest phone available to improve our means of communication that suits our company and lies within the limit of our budget available.

Sanctuary

While installing new means of communication security must be given high priority. Privacy should be maintained within the company for the confidentiality. We have provide every secret information about our products which must not be leaked out. Otherwise the company have to face great loss. So security is one of the major factor while choosing the modern means of communication system.

Availability

If some problem occurs in the hardware or software we install then it must be available very easily. Otherwise it may hamper the company. So while choosing the modern means of communication availability also must be maintained.

Performance

The performance of the devices and software’s must be high so that task related to company can be done easily. The devices with low performance also hamper the company. So we have to be careful in these factors to while choosing the modern devices for communication purposes.

Scalability

The device we install must be scalable. If any changes occur in future in the device we use we have to upgrade it so that it can match the present problem and solve it. So the device we use must be scalable.

There are different solutions for our problem. For selection first we have find all the possible solutions. The available means of communication that helps to solve the problem the problem of our company are mentioned below:

Ultra book

Ultra book is latest device with high performance and also called reliable device in the world. There is no chance of crash of HD high memory, as well as portable device but the cost is very high as compare to other device.

Smart phone

Smart phones are known a single device having combine property of phone & computer.it allows user to store their information, browser the web, etc. so it help our sales team to establish better communication with different customer in different places. We can get easily this device on market at regional price.

Ipad

Ipad is also latest device with high performance and also called reliable device in the world.no any virus can attack this device as well as portable device but the cost is very high.

Windows phone

New technology that Microsoft have establish in the world with advance feature at low price. This device can be used for sales team as it gives high performance, portable.

PDA

Personal Digital Assistance are handheld devices that combine element of computing, network, browsing etc.it is portable device. Cost is medium reliable.

Now to compare we have to create evaluation grid of all the possible solutions.

Statement and detail of solution

After evaluating all the success criteria, since the Smart phone has stood in first rank. Smart phone will be the best modern means of communication which is cheaper, more secure and easily can be available with performance rate and more scalable in comparison with other means of communication. Since we are provided limited amount of money, Smart phone is affordable with that cost and it use logical tunnel in internet which makes data and information more secure. Also Smart phone over world stood in 2nd rank. So, we can use it too as means of communication. As it is also more secure, less expensive, and easily available and is scalable too with performance rate. So, first priority is given to Smart phone and second priority to windows phone to improve the means of communication with customer.

Conclusion

We finally conclude that the problem of our multinational company of sales process is solved by Smart phone with the help of problem solving method. Also windows phone can be used as communication medium. So by introducing Smart phone for communication system can be upgraded of our company sales.
