2.Remote Server Monitoring Project with code and Documentation

For Organizations with huge data centers having a lot of servers hosting

numerous applications, it is always a major problem to monitor if each of the servers is up and functional all the time. The problem is more acute during late night shifts when the usual numberof network/systems engineers working is less.

Usually, when organizations host the applications on their servers on behalf of their clients, they sign-up a service level agreement (SLA), specifying the allowed down time for each of the applications. Any lack of commitment on the part of the organizations in meeting the SLA could result in loss of business or legal action or both.

So, it becomes very important for the organizations to know if a server is down or non-functional and take corrective action immediately. Unfortunately, for some less time critical applications, it is usually the client who informs that there is a problem with the server when he/she tries to logon to the application Organizations would be very interested in knowing about these server failures immediately and take corrective action before the client starts complaining.

Proposed Solution

There is a need for a web based application which can capture all the organization and data center details and remotely check if each of servers is up and running all the time. This monitoring piece of the application keeps pinging each of the servers at the specific intervals and based on the rules setup and response received it sends out an

SMS to a predefined list of specialists whenever there is a failure. This SMS will also contain the information related to the server that has failed and also the time at which it had failed.

4.Fast-Algorithms for resource allocation in wireless cellular networks in wireless Project with code and Documentation

We consider a scheduled orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) wireless cellular network where the channels from the base-station to the n mobile users undergo flat fading. Spectral resources are to be divided among the users in order to maximize total user utility. We show that this problem can be cast as a nonlinear convex optimization problem, and describe an O(n) algorithm to solve it. Computational experiments show that the algorithm typically converges in around 25 iterations, where each iteration has a cost that is O(n), with a modest constant. When the algorithm starts from an initial resource allocation that is close to optimal, convergence typically takes even fewer iterations. Thus, the algorithm can efficiently track the optimal resource allocation as the channel conditions change due to fading. We also show how our techniques can be extended to solve resource allocation problems that arise in wideband networks with frequency selective fading and when the utility of a user is also a function of the resource allocations in the past.

This Project INFRARED REMOTE CONTROL ON/OFF SWITCH is used to switch on/off the Home Appliances by using a standard Remote control. The system is used to switch on/off up to six electrical devices. All the above processes are controlled by the 8 bit Micro controller AT89C2051. The system works on Phillips RC5 format.In modern electronics, electronics remote control system is well known system. Infrared remote control kit�s available in the market are quite expensive and it some one wishes to assemble one, their IC�s may not be easily available. More over for simple ON-OFF function such as controlling a lamp or fan we do not need very complex circuit.The IR remote control circuit using photo diode and photo transistor sensor suffer from major drawback of being affected by ambient light and a very low range.The IR remote control circuit described here can be used for any simple ON-OFF function. This system has memories application than other remote control system. The advantage is that this circuit is absolutely free form ambient light interference and provides control range of any to focusing lens.
