Respondents

In order to section the participants' answers and to recognize the respondent, some questions where ask to gain background knowledge on who was answering the survey questions i.e. respondent gender, age and as a student, if field of study is related to information technology. And 50% of the respondent was male and 50% were female, while 86% of the respondent was from fifteen to twenty four years old, 12% was from twenty five to thirty four years old. While 2%, is from thirty five to forty-four years of age. This shows that, most of the responses are student. The researcher asked, the respondents if there field of study is related to information technology and the response from 54% of the respondent said their field of study is related to information technology and 46% field of study is not related to information technology.

4.1.4 Are you familiar with "Cloud Computing"?

To evaluate the idea of cloud computing to both Information technology experts and those who are not directly associated with Information Technology sector, the researcher asked the fourth question in the questionnaire to gain knowledge, if the respondent were informed about cloud computing. 59% of the respondents are familiar with cloud computing term which is higher than average and 39% are not familiar with it. This shows, the numbers of individuals who are familiar with the term cloud computing is more than those who do not know, but this does not mean that the percentage of the individual who are familiar to the term are knowledgeable on cloud computing

4.1.5 How do you rate your knowledge on "Cloud Computing"?

The researcher used this question to find out rate in respondent knowledge on cloud computing. 100 responses to this question, 8% of the respondents are highly knowledgeable on cloud computing, Among 100 responses got for this question 41% of respondents who answered the survey question are somewhat knowledgeable about cloud. This data shows people are just familiar with the word cloud computing but do not know what cloud computing actually is, making cloud computing just a word people hear about and not utilize.

4.1.6 What is cloud computing anyway?

The researcher asked this question in the questionnaire to compare with the responses from the respondents rate on knowledge on cloud computing. Among the 100 responses, 56% responded to cloud computing is the network to store, 25% do not know what cloud computing is or what is used for while the total of 19% responses think they know about cloud computing, some of the 19% respondents think cloud computing is actual cloud, computer weather.

Respondents were asked if the using cloud computing, 37% from the 100 people surveyed are users of cloud computing while the remaining 60% do not use cloud computing. The respondent, who do not use cloud computing where asked to go to the last question in order to ascertain quality result. The respondents in this section, will be based on 37% on people who actually use cloud computing.

4.2.1 Can cloud computing improve the economy?

The data shows, 35% of cloud users responded that the use of cloud computing can improve the economy while 2% response was cloud computing cannot improve the economy. With this data result one might also conclude, that cloud computing can improve the economy. The researcher asked users of cloud, where the use cloud computing among the 37 respondents who use cloud computing. 13% of the respondents use cloud in school, 16% use cloud for personal work, 7% use cloud on mobile platform and 1% who just figure out cloud computing capability and usage. Based on the researchers’ analysis, users of cloud use cloud for personal usage and not for school work.

This data shows that there are a high number of people who do not know what to ready do with cloud and the advantages cloud offers, more emphasis need to be laid on cloud computing usage.

While some are not utilizing cloud because of lack of availability to high speed internet, some because cloud computing is not popular.
