The purpose of his speech was also to unite Americans with their allies and among each other to hold a strong upfront against any of the enemies.

Truman Doctrine is an international relations policy that was presented by Unites States of America’s President Harry Truman in a speech to help Greece and Turkey on economic fronts, military fronts to help them prevent from falling into Russia’s sphere and influence. It was a means to help prevent the countries that were targeted to be divided in Europe as East and West due to the conspiracies of Russia. Weak economies or countries like Russia and Turkey needed help n various grounds to help itself prevent from being a part of Russia and its allies. Truman introduced and delivered a speech that s known as Truman Doctrine to help all these. He contended that if Greece and Turkey did not gain the help that they earnestly required, they would definitely end up with communism with grave outcomes all through the region. United States of America offered help to these free people to impose and reinforce democracy in the world. The Truman Doctrine had democracy as the centre part of his policy to bring good and positive changes in the world.

The American foreign policy feared totalitarianism to be common and practiced in the world if democracy was not supported therefore more and more emphasis was given to democracy in the Trumann Doctrine.

Sir Winston Churchill was of the view point that the free people of the world shall not be forced to live in a way they don’t like. HE was in the favor of the democracy and the practice of democracy in the whole world not only in Eastern Europe or Western Europe. He wanted and highlighted that the Communist Soviet Union now Russia may take over the democratic Europe and force people to live in a communist society.

Although the points highlighted by Sir Winston Churchill arouse resentment among Russians it helped the world from a communist super power. This also led to a cold war in the world among the two allies who were struggling for power but it also helped the democratic free people to live a free democratic life.

Communism:

Truman Doctrine tried its best to help free people who not want to fall prey to Soviet Union remained free and not be a part of communism that was a part of Soviet Union’s philosophy. HE anticipated if Countries like Greece and Turkey are not given enough support and aid they will fall to communism of Russia where people will not be free to own property, their businesses or be the way they lead their lives. Truman Doctrine emphasize that they should help free people remain free because Unite States of America has so much of power and strength to help these people and countries. Truman also believed if these countries fell prey to communism this would affect the whole region.

Sir Winston Churchill also talked about the communism that was in its infancy in the Russia and that could get massive one day if not protected or prevented. Sir Winston Churchill touched a lot of minute points in his speech that ho body had talked about before or were afraid to admit it. One of these points was of the rising communism that could take place if the west did not remain united. He was of the view that the eastern communist may take over the democratic western part of the Europe and lead them to a forceful life. Soviet Union:

Truman Doctrine was of the view that Soviet Union wanted to become a super power in the region that is why it tries to divide countries and make them its part and rule over them to consequently rule over the world as a super power. Truman Doctrine had foreseen and analyzed the situation therefore tries to help the nations from becoming a victim of this country.

Truman believed the Soviet Union wanted to practice communism in its country and the countries under its rule where people will not be allowed to own property, business and lead their lives as per their will.
