Introduction

Game of Thrones is an American blockbuster fantasy TV drama series. It was created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss for HBO. Originally, the series was a song by George R.R Martin’s- A song of ice and Fire. It was filmed at Belfast studio while its locations included Morocco, Iceland, Croatia, Northern Ireland and Malta. On 17th April 2011, it premiered in the United States on HBO. By 2014, the series will be undergoing its fourth time of revamp. This is to personify their medieval- fantasy roles. It is still attracting an immense audience as well as being one of the best and common British television series of the decade. Game of Thrones has won two Golden Globes and two Emmy Awards.

The series is set on fictional continents of Essos and Westeros at a close of almost ten years. It intertwines different story lines. The first is a subsequent of members from numerous splendid houses in a civil war for the Iron Throne among Seven Kingdoms. The second one talks about the emerging dangers of a looming winter and the legendary creations of the North whilst the third account is a trial of the expelled eventual scion of the kingdom’s overthrown empire to get back the throne. The characters are able to depict their moral unclear characters as the series focuses on social hierarchy, civil war, crime, sexuality, religion and punishment.

It is one of the most expensive works to have contributed to the reputation of the fantasy genre in conventional medium. Nevertheless, Game of Throne has acquired an outstanding wide and energetic global fan base. On the other hand, it has gotten extensive acclamation by its opponents, with shots of nudity steering most controversy.

Daenerys Targeryen

Learning the Dothraki language helped her manage their past issues. After sometime, she started appreciating him and honestly fell in love. Drogo was an elegant and polite woman. Having learnt the Dothraki culture, she became stronger and started rebelling against her brother.

As time went by, she became pregnant with Drogo’s baby boy who was foreseen by the Dothraki as a "Stallion who would mount the World." Due to the death of her brother and the tried assassination by Robert Baratheon, Drogo swore to Daenerys that he would triumph over the Seven Kingdoms for their unborn baby and her. Drogo suffered from blood poisoning that resulted from an infected sore whilst in a fight with a tribesman from Dothraki.

Daenerys looked for help from a healer (Marri Maz Duur) to save the life of her husband by the use of blood magic. The healer tricked Daenerys to sacrifice her unborn baby for her husband to heal. As a result, she lost the two most important people in her life. Later, she punished Marri by having him burnt to death. Further, she laid three dragon eggs that she had obtained as a wedding gift into her husband’s body while stepping into the fire. At the wee hours of the night- when the fire burnt out- three baby dragons and Khaleesi remained. Daenerys took them with her (that is what was left as her husband’s) and had to look for a way to ensemble new associates to safeguard themselves and get back the Iron Throne. She was the first woman to rule Dothraki.

House Greyjoy

The House backed it roots from the Grey King, a well-known representative from the Ages of Heroes. The Greyjoys were supreme lords of the Iron Isles in the capture of Targarye. Following the extinguishing of Aegon I, he permitted the ironborn to decide on who would have power over them. They went for Vickon Greyjoy and his roots. Since then, the Greyjoys have been in control. The ironborn lost the Riverland, which was given to Edmyn and his off springs.

Therefore, they downgraded their miserable homeland, as they were forced by the king’s peace. For this reason, they have stayed away from the Great House, hardly participating in mainland events. Occasionally, they have attempted to go back to their prehistoric cultures of raiding coastlines. Six years down the line- after holding aloof during Robert’s Rebellion- Lord Balon Geryjoy piloted his rebellion in opposition to Iron Throne. However, he was conquered and his fleet torch and two of his elder sons killed in the war.

Since the rebellion, the Greyjoys have been in-ward looking. The Theon lived in the green lands, whilst Lord Balon brought up his daughter as his successor. Balon expelled his Euron (brother) after he sexually assaulted his brother’s wife. Victorian was compelled to murder his wife so as to maintain his reverence. Since then, Euron has travelled around the universe, causing destructions in the Isle. Concurrently, Aeron Damphir has transformed his experience of washing overboard.

House Lannister

Just flaxen, tall and good looking, the Lannister are of Andal blood that made an immense kingdom within the western hills and valleys. They controlled the Westerlands as the rulers of the Rock prior to vowing loyalty to the Targaryen family. Loren Lannister was the last king of the Rock. He and Reach’s last king Mern Gardner, they both joined military and organized 60,000 men in opposition of Aegon. They faced defeat from his dragons in a fight that was later called Field of Fire, losing four thousand men. Since then, they have worked as the Targaryyens.

Currently, Tywin Lannister heads the family. His father, controlled the period during the decline of the house. He squandered most of their wealth by investing badly. He accepted mockery at a court by developing a weak perception. Tywin stopped the rebellion by torching their house and starting the formidable character of House Lannister. His brutality painted the common phrase darker. As ever Lannister pays his debts, and was commemorated in a song called The Rains of Castamere.

Tywin had three children Tyrion, Jaime and Cersei. His wife passed on while giving birth to Tyrion. He (Tyrion) is a dwarf who has constantly experienced problems establishing a positive relationship with Tywin. Cersei and Jaime are not identical twins. Cersei is the queen of Westeros following an arranged marriage to King Robert Baratheon in a swap for his back up in Robert’s Rebellion. All through, she has had a long incestuous correlation with Jamie (brother). In fact, the two plan to hide their love and make the public believe Tommen, Joffrey and Myrcella because of Cersei’s marriage.

House Baratheon

This is one of the greatest houses as well as the youngest and presently the most recent. Their slogan is "Ours is fury". When Robert took over the Iron crown, an additional crown was added on to it, as a sign of a royal house. Initially, Baratheon was Storm’s End stronghold, but after becoming the royal house, they have taken control of the old Targaryen highland fort of Dragonstone, while the King controls from the capital of the Seven Kingdom which was the city of King’s Landing.

When the battle of the Five Kings started- following King Robert Baratheon’s death- Baratheon house was divided into three separate sections: one under Robert’s said son. Precisely, it is not lucid how King Robert foresaw dividing his wealth for future cohorts of House Baratheon. Additionally, it is not true that he intended to permanently bond the Crownlands within the King’s landing with the Stormland within Storm’s End.

On the contrary, he could have offered off Storm’s End and the Stormlands a cadet division of the House Baratheon created by Stannis or Renly’s children, whilst Robert’s children controlled the Crownlands. Most probably, Robert intended not to include his brother in the succession and have the policy of the Stormland pass to Tommen, his younger son. Whatever intentions Robert had were abolished by the emergence of a battle ahead of his death.

House Tyrell

House Tyrell is the greatest house in the Seven Kingdom’s. It is an immense, rich house having exceeded among the Great House by House Lannister. Further, if they sought help from the convoy of their banner- men the Redwynes- the nobles of the Shield Islands, and the lords of the coast, commanded a navy that is equivalent to the royals.

At the beginning of the novel, the Knight of the flower, Loras Tyrell is singly in the exteriors of the Reach. Whilst on his way to the Winterfell, they find a lifeless direwolf and six unborn pups. Tyrion advises him to adopt the name "bastard" as an insignia of honor, so that nobody can hurt him with utterances.

The first episode in the third season is about reiterating the bigger forces progressing on Westeros. It begins with Daenerys Targaryen thinking about the moral repercussions of buying an army of slaves as an essential corrective to the sluggish advancement of her dragons, handling the repercussion of the battle of the Blackwater that falsify new unions, and leave new marks. How they cope with their lack of Status

He said, "I would allow the maggots to consume me prior to disrespecting our family by naming you the Casterly Rock’s heir."

Margaery Tyrell is running her business of uniting her authority in the capital by interacting with the residents of Flea Bottom in the same neighborhood where Cersei and her associates were assaulted. Margaery had been warned about messing up her dress as she alights from garbage and walks to a row of splatter into the orphanage. She replied by asserting that she had more. To her, privilege means that one can hide and also afford to take a risk that can be costly to people. She is engaged in programs of adding her power that never appears to have happened to anybody else in Westeros-public Relations.

On the other hand, there are less fortunate women compared to Margaery who are left to develop their power/ authority bases in restrained ways, and for the good of those who matter. For instance, whilst the Littlefinger gets out to Sansa Stark, a woman’s biggest threat commences from the fact that she does not understand her power potential. The sex worker (Ros) who survived abuse in the hands of Joffrey and later became Tyrion Lannister’s lover were watching. When she tabled a complaint, Shae asked who she was to do so whilst other women saw as an opportunity before her. They said, "We have done well, it is difficult for girls like us to make our way through".
