Introduction

What is entrepreneurship? Entrepreneurship basically is means someone will start or establish the companies based on his/her discovers of the specific niches that not yet so popular in the marketplace which maybe still is the blue ocean yet. Almost all of the entrepreneurs will create their own niches for the new products or new services which may be developed by their own company.

Recently, entrepreneurship has became popular since the economics has been grew with the terrible speed. Entrepreneurship is also a simple concept that used to fulfill the one’s business dream.

However, there are many people want to be an entrepreneur but unfortunately to say that not everyone can become an entrepreneur. The most basic thing is you must have many of the attributes such as leadership skills, communication skills, must be a self-discipline person and so on. That’s all are the must-have attributes if you want to be a successful entrepreneur.

Besides that, the most important required attribute of all the entrepreneurs is to be a risk-taker. Any business will have the risky issues and no matter it are small or big enough. To be a good entrepreneur, one’s must confident enough of his or her strategy to take that risk and conduct it continuously until to achieve the success.

As you know that, entrepreneur is a kind of person that might take risks and calculate their risks before they make their special ideas to become the true reality. They maybe born, or maybe made; but the most important factor or common thing that appearance among them is all of them have strong creativity and innovation. They always think out the special ideas that how to change the current situation and make the life standard of humanity to achieve of the higher level or even change the whole life style. They always not satisfied with the current world and wish to change the life of human being to what they wish about. So they will work hard and comes out variety of the fantastic plan which maybe will doubt by the human being alive now and surrounding them. They wish the world can operate like what they wish about. You may think this kind of person is very crazy or the plan is not feasibility, or even impossible mission to do it. For them, this is just the problem of time to do it.

Profile of the Past: Personal Preferences

For me, I also wonder whether myself can do like them because I always treat them as my heroes always. So now I also work hard and try to learn from them and follow them. You may ask what the energy that will push me to go ahead and do it. I can definitely tell you that is my family. I come from the family that maybe not be rich but actually is still comfortable to me. I wish one day I can change my family financial situation to the better circumstance. So since the secondary school I already start to read the relevant books and start to do some part time jobs to earn my work experiences as more as possible.

Another source of energy is concerned with the foods we eat every day. The foods provide us with energy and boost our body to being healthy and continue to sustain our youthful vigor. For me, I like to eat the apples and everyone should know that apple is one of the fruits that contain a lot of vitamins and minerals. There also contain a slogan that said "an apple a day will keep the doctor away".

In other words, there also contain some sources that will take away my energy. For examples, the fear of failure. It maybe just something that just warn us when there is going to danger but actually will caused one’s to away from the things that you support to do if you want to be successful. The circumstances make me feel like there are contained with a lot uncertain problems occurs or so on. It also will make me feel like that is impossible to do or the mission is out of my control and ability.

Furthermore, the experience about the field is also one of the things that I always concerned about. For examples, I come from IT background and now I want to enter into the business market. I totally don't have any related knowledge about that field. If just enter the market without any skills, it maybe causes to failure. So this also is the one I care of.

If want to rank from the most to the least about the things that give me energy, I will rank the first one factor is my family and follows with the foods we eat. The rank from the most to the least about the things that takes my energy away is fear of failure and experience.

So in the coming 20 to 30 years, I would like to work hard to earn money as more as I can. My desired lifestyle is flexible time to do the jobs. The income maybe high enough for me to go for travel each month with my family and my friends. The reason is because I like to go travel and see around the world. The life is too short and we must enjoy all the time that you still alive otherwise I will regret myself.

Profile of the Past: Idea Generation

There are some of the attributes that would give me energy to enter the business such as to earn more money. This is the common cause I think because normally people will wish to have the more comfortable life standard at all. The second is the challenge. There may contain some "crazy" people that are likely to try the new things or do the hard things and make it to become reality. The third is the trends. Nowadays there are too many of people are starting to do their own business and everyone also follow to do the same way. The fourth is to make the life is more convenient. You may come out with the product that will change the lifestyle and the ways it ran in long time ago. The fifth is the dream. There are some people are trying to make their business dream to become true since they are interested since the child time.

In the opposite, there also contain some of the attributes that would take my energy to enter the business such as the funds. There is a high entrance requirement when I come to enter the new business or start the new business. There also is the time needed for success. I may need twenty years, thirty years or even more forty years to be a successful businessman. The third one is the skills I have. I come from the IT background and not familiar with the marketing or business field, so who's going to do all these things? The fourth is the risk. If I enter the new market that is still not yet entered by someone else, there may a danger wait for you. Why? There are too many uncertain things around and you many need to solve it. The firth is the personal relationship. I may need to know many of the suppliers or the expertise they are good in this field and if not that is impossible to start or even think of it.

I would like to start my own business someday because work for the company is the worst investment in the world. Why I said so? Let's have a see. If you are professional enough and very expert in one field, you should not work for the company in your whole life. You should come out and try to start your own business. For example, you are good in programming and your programming skill is good enough. But if you work for a software company, the salary maybe only RM4000 to RM5000 a month. If you come out to open your own small software house and start to receive own project by yourself, you may earn a lot of money in a month. There maybe RM10000 above a month you can earn.

In conclusion , the most important of the reason that causes so many people to be an entrepreneur is the fear of failure. They might scare that will lead them to the failure’s road and not willing or not dare to do that.

Profile of the Past: Personal History

Actually I don't have many of the jobs experiences in the past time but I will try to share out my work experiences as more as possible. I had been many of part-time jobs in the long time ago. I have been a chief assistant to the chef of one of the restaurant in my hometown. Why I will do this kind of job? Actually this is a part-time job and I just do it temporarily to replace my friend vacant position. This job has taught me many of the things since it is my first job I ever did before. From this job I have learned that cook is not an easy way and open the restaurant is also not the easy thing. You need to work quickly and the same time needs to serve customer in efficient ways. They also required the worker to good in memorizing the things that customer ordered to make sure it will not happen send the wrong food to customer. Besides that, I also have been a cashier in my relative’s mini market. This job is actually an easy job. I just need to calculate the total money of the customer bought the goods and collects from them. But from this job I have taught that you must very careful to do some things that concerned with the money. The differences between less one zero or more one zero behind the point is totally different. You may need to fill the remaining balance if you wrong calculate the customer bills. I also have been a computer technical assistant before. This is the job that most hard for me. In the starting I have no experience at all. From this job, the technical have taught me much about the skills such as how to use Microsoft Excel, do the report and how to maintain the customer problems and the relationship. This is also the main reason why I will choose to continue my study with the IT. I want to overcome my lack of knowledge of this area.

Furthermore, I will talk some of my extra activities that not related to the jobs experience. I like to play badminton before. I have been a representative of my secondary school. I also active in the football and track before. I have been a representative of my primary school and won the interschool competition. Not only in the sports, I also active in the academic part. I have been participated the literature writing in the international section which organized by China and won the third prize. All of those things above have taught me that if you want to success in one thing, you have to pay a lot of heart to do it, or else you will not success. This is also same in life as entrepreneur, you must pay a lot of time, work and research if you want to enter the new market and to be successful.

Profile of the Past: Role Model

The entrepreneur that I have admired him is the founder of the Tencent company. His name is Ma Hua Teng. He is 42 years old this year. He graduated from the school of computer science of ShenZhen University with the degree certification. Before he founded the Tencent company, he has been work for the internet field for more than 10 years and have a lot of experiences.

If you still confusing with this online language, then you are outdated and maybe teased by many of people. The Q is the character of the internet product which produced by the Tencent company and its named QQ. The core function of this product is to chat with others through the internet. This network product rely on the small penguin to make their brand image and this image is rapid popularity in nearly 300 million of Internet users. It targeted to all the internet users which are 18 to 30 years old.

You just need to sit in front of your monitor and then can communicate with the friends that come from worldwide, share information with them and so on. What the brilliant idea! Ma Hua Teng had been changing the traditional way of communication.

From the story you can see that Ma Hua Teng is a person who is innovation and creativity but is also willing to take risk. He developed the network product which is not yet available in the market. Besides that, after the graduation, Ma Hua Teng went to work for the internet-related company to gain the experience. He learned from his experience and finds the market which is still new and don't have competitors then start to do his own business which is Tencent company.

I have learned from his story about some characteristics such as creativity. When you start to establish the new business or enter the new market, you must make sure that you are ready enough and do as much of research as you can or gain the experience about related fields. Furthermore, you must willing to take risk if you enter the new market. Although there may contain a lot of issues later, but don't have to fear about it and just do it. You must try before you success.

Profile of the Present: Your Own Strengths and Weaknesses

What is my strength and weakness? This is a type of question that requires us to ponder deeply. I never thought of it before but now I will try to describe some of it. Let’s me to introduces some of my strengths and weaknesses. I think one of my strengths is self-discipline. Why I said so？If they are many tasks needed to finish on time and submit, I will ensure myself to finish it before do the other things. There are always have a lot of homework needed to do at that day and need to pass up tomorrow, but my friends always call me to go to the cyber cafe, watch movie, sing karaoke with them. Normally it’s hard to reject but I will not lure by those kind of entertainment before I finish all my tasks. I think many of students also met this kind of issue before.

Besides that, I am willingness to sacrifice. If someone needed help, I will try my best to assist them. For example, if one of my friends is very poor in such of subjects and failed that subject, I will try to do the summary notes and teach them. It is also my weakness I think because I always being a good guy and make the life to be so tired. Normally when my friends ask to be helping them, I will promise frankly.

Furthermore, I think one of my strengths is tolerance with stress. When the examination time is around the corner, you can see that almost every student seems like very nervous and post all those negative emotions on the facebook and whatever social media networks that played. For me, I will do as usual and just like take a small quiz as usual time. My friends always said me is crazy and never worry about the examination. But that is impossible if said that I’m never worried about examination. I will try to find some things to relax myself and I knew that deeply nervous will not offer any help.

In the others hand, my weakness is lack of confidence. I will reject to do something even I knew that actually I am qualified to do it and able to do it. For example, when I am recommend by my teacher to participate in some of the competition, my first action is totally same – reject it. After that, the teacher has to motivate me many times then I only will promise. Sometimes I also wonder why I will like that. That’s all is my part of strengths and weaknesses.

Putting All Together

As usual, entrepreneurship may contain a lot of definition and it’s may have some special definition for some of the people. But I think actually is based on what the person thinking. For me it just a simple thing – to do the business or to improve life standard. You can see at newspaper everyday there are so many attributes required to become an entrepreneur. So, sometimes I also wonder whether I can suit to do it. May I become an entrepreneur? For example, sacrifices and long term commitment. The first element maybe is suitable to me since I was said as in my personal strengths before. I am willing to assistant people who are needed to help and I will not ask for any return for it. The second element is also suitable to me since I was self-discipline person. I will always continue to do the things that are most important first and no wonder how hard is it I will still continue to do it. Even meet some issues I will try to find the way to solve it no matter try how many times and need to spend how long time period to finish it.

But sometimes there are too many things that will prevent you to do the things in the perfect way or get what you wish. For me, because I was still young now and I’m still studying so there have appeared a lot of problems. First issue is my confidence. As I said above, one of my weaknesses is lack of confidence. I always fear to do the things and because I fear that I cannot do it or even can’t do it. My teachers and my friends also wonder why I will like this. Second issue is my experiences. I always wonder if I lack of experiences in such of area, may I do well in that area?

Refer to my role model which is founder of the Tencent company – Ma Hua Teng. He is a person who full with creativity and innovation. This is the part I very admired him because sometimes I feel like me very lack of creativity or this maybe is me lazy to think the new idea. He also is a people that have a lot of experiences in Internet field. From his story I knew that you must have a lot experiences or do the research to gain your skills before you enter or try to do your own business. So I wonder someday I will also success like him.

So in the coming five to ten years, I will try to find the opportunity towards the road if entrepreneurship. I will try to learn and do research about such area that I interested in and the most important is find out the niches market that still not yet available in the market. After gained enough the experiences, I will try to do it step by step and to minimize the risk taken. I knew it may be hard but I will try to tolerance with it and sustain it in long term.

Sometimes when feel like want to give up, I will think of my energies that business me such as my family and my intention to improve life standard. I believe that I can do it well.

Thinking Ahead: Personal Entrepreneurial Strategy

As you know, the strategy or plan is very important when you set the goals of company. Similar with it, the strategic plan is also very important for the personal goals. Someone’s may not write down their own strategy into the paper and just set in their mind only. According to my own experience, if you wrote your strategy into the paper, you will understand easily what you want to do in the next step and the most important are you remember you to keep conducting the step.

So now, I would like to describe my own goals during next four years. I am a student now and I want to be a network engineer. To achieve this goal, I have set a lot of strategy to make this dream come true. For example, I will do research about the network concept and it’s relevant characteristics. Some more I also read the professional books about the network knowledge and always practice the case study inside all the books. To make it more clearly, I have used the network simulation software to test what I have study to make sure that I have done it correctly and understand it more deeply.

Beyond the four years, I would like to be an independent financial person in my following life. I hope I can own my business after that. So to achieve this goal, I will start to work for some network-related company to gain the experiences. At the same time, I will try study by myself to get an additional professional certification about the network to increase my network knowledge.

In the others hand, there appears many of problems that I have to solve right now. For examples, the time needed. I don't know how long the time I needed to become an independent financial person. It seems like perfect the plan but sometimes you may meet with some extra issue because I never know that what would happen with the following year’s things. It maybe changes of regulation, economic depression, happen with natural disasters and so on.

To make the plan more close to my dream, I will also start to use my thirty percent of my net salary to invest or save the money in the bank because without the funds all the things cannot do. Even the small business it still needs a lot of funds to operate because there maybe won’t have any income for the starting few years and we need to back up and make sure the business can continue to operate after that. I don’t even know whether my strategy can work because it just a simple plan. But I will continue to work hard and I hope I can become an entrepreneur according to what I have planned.

Conclusion

In a nutshell, I feel that I am still have a lot of weaknesses and needed to improve it such as lack of confidence. I will try to improve it in several ways such as sit in the front of row when in the class afterwards. Normally most of the students will prefer to sit in the back because they all are scared of being noticed. By doing in this way, maybe I can overcome my fear and build my own confidence.

Besides that, I will seek for the part-time jobs that related to the network. I have to learn and gain as much experiences as I can to increase my network-related knowledge and experiences. At the same time, also increase my own confidence since I am exposed to this environment and familiar with that. That’s all is my temporarily plan and may be will change from time to time according to the situation that also changed from time to time.
